About Us

Sweet Memories Candy Store opened it’s doors on May 1, 2010; conceived by Ashley Romano, daughter of store owner Christina Chase. Christina and co-owner Doug Chase felt the historic downtown section of Frederick would be a perfect place to open up such a shop.

We strive to offer the Old Fashioned Nostalgic candies you remember as a kid and can’t find any more. We absolutely love to hear stories every day from our customers recounting their youth. Memories such as smacking Bonomo Turkish Taffy on the sidewalk to their grandfathers Necco Wafers.

We offer more than 200 types of candies in our store and we work with candy distributors all over the country to provide for our customers. We pride ourselves on our customer service skills and also provide catalogs for special orders, candy buffets and candy gift baskets.
